Dimitra Ioannou’s translations from English into Greek include prose texts, essays, poems, and visual poems by radical and experimental authors. The translations were published on the journal A) GLIMPSE) OF), and include Gertrud Stein’s play “What Happened?”, an excerpt from the 8th chapter of “A Thousand Plateaus” by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari (Second Novella: “The Crack-up,” F.Scott Fitzerald), a prose text by Nathanaël (paper A) GLIMPSE) OF) #2), poem by Anne Boyer), prose poems by Tom Snarky (Narrative in Progress ‘Centurion’), and 4 poems by Alice Notley which were featured in the 3rd print issue.

She is also translating excerpts from contemporary essays about writing and language (by Kathy Acker, Lyn Hejinian etc.), and contemporary poems for the experimental writing workshops she is occasionally running since 2015 in Athens.

She has also translated from English into Greek the book “Speed Tribes / Days and Nights with Japan’s Next Generation” by Karl Taro Greenfeld (Patakis, 1999).
